Intro Blog

Hey guys, welcome to my first blog of senior year! My name is Adriana, I’m 17 years old. I attend Fort Lauderdale High and I’m working towards graduating with my Cambridge diploma. I love achieving my academic goals. I set these goals up so I can use my full effort and potential. A little about me… I like cooking/baking, reading, and majorette dancing. I love band music (hence why I love majorette genre of dancing). That along with hip-pop, R&B, and soul music I enjoy listening to these genres of music. I also like sleeping and making money :) I’d say my fantasy career job would be getting paid to sleep, like literally. I’m a May baby, my birthday is on the 15th, which I share with my grandfather. My friends and associates would most likely describe me as an optimistic social butterfly. It makes me happy when I can help others the best way I possibly can. Because I enjoy helping others, I decided to join a mentorship program where I get the opportunity to mentor freshman's and sophomores' academically and socially. My teachers would describe me as a leader and role model to my peers. I’m interested in becoming an anesthesiologist after high school or somewhere in the medical field. I am thinking about attending FIU but I’m not sure yet. Throughout my blog I’ll mainly be talking about different events during my senior year and my decisions I make for after high school so stay tuned. So far, the school year had a pretty decent start. I'm continuing to get adjusted, so we'll see how it goes. Thank you for reading!

  Welcome back scholars to your favorite blog!!! Last time we began taking in peer reviews to make our final task a full success. Being able to get reviews from our peers really helps us look into any things we may have missed. Some things that needed to be fixed were the transitions. Many of our peers stated, they enjoyed our sequence but the transitions were a bit fast. "I feel like you can make your transitions a bit slower, so the viewers can take in the full screen set" I agreed, making the transitions too fast may cause viewers confusion or not enough time to assess the scene. There were a couple of critiques on our acting skills. I was shocked when a peer stated our acting was "pretty good". In personally thought otherwise, but it felt really good to know. Another critique we received was our opening shot. In the beginning it was at a certain angle, making it hard to see the content. With some help, we were able to fix this. Planning Blog: Locations, Participants, Health, Schedule

Hey lovelies!! Welcome back to my blog! Today I'm going to go even further into the planning of how my group's opening scene came to be. Although planning this was so fun, there was also a lot of layers to it. I'll start by talking about our location. When first discussing about our location, we knew that it would have to be somewhere of a location region as well as a mall where people visit frequently. After conversing about it  we decided on Sawgrass Mall. We were satisfied with that at first the realized that we had an issue.  What we wanted to do would require us to be in a smaller and more confined room. After realizing that, we decided to back on the scratch board and make some compromises. With only a few minutes of deliberating, we decided to use a groupmates' house. With our location confirmed everything seems set.  So far we have all of our scenes set, assigned roles, and our location. Some of the things we're still looking into are the props we will need....

Title Research: Dead Silence

  Hey scholars, welcome back.  The film that I chose to analyze is Dead Silence because it is a great representation of how a horror film should be.  The website I used wa s   Art of the Title What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?   The  titles  that are displayed  first  is the title of the film. It is in red  and has  a spooky looking font to add to the way that the movie is horror. The next titles  are from who made the film and a brief description of what to expect. Then it goes into naming everyone who helped contribute  to  making the film happen like the actors and what not.    What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?
