Reflection Time

Image
Hey scholars, welcome back to my blog!! So as you may know I completed my “YOU” commercial. I’m pretty happy with the overall outcome. There are some minor things that I wish were better but generally I’m content with the final results. This project took a lot of time especially when trying to add certain effects like the background music to the entire video. If you’re not a pro at editing, then it may be a little aggravating. I was able to figure it out, so it all worked out in the end. I brushed up on my Adobe Photoshop skills. I used this platform to touch up some of my photos used in the video. It was not too difficult using this app because I had previous experience from my computer tech course. I also became very familiar with Capcut, to make my commercial as a whole. Putting things together was generally easy on capcut because that's what the platform was made for, but I did have some issues arise. One problem I had was incorporating my music. I tried many different ways to

Production Blog...FINALLY!!!

(Feeling relieved....)  Hey scholars...welcome back to my blog :) Today was a good day. I felt very productive with my tasks, especially this commercial. I'm so happy to be in the ending process of this project. It still needed a couple tweaks to get it just right. For the most part though, the foundation is complete. After all the other edits I made using the template from capcut, I began inserting things in order. I used capcut to merge the things together in order to make a video. It was kind of hard trying to merge together videos with others. Like the slideshow of my photos was already a short video. I had to figure out to connect this with my Ted Talk video. Other than capcut and adobe photoshop, my Iphone had a big role in my editing as well. When editing my videos, there was some things I had to cut out or re-do. I simply used the editing feature on my phone to cut out certain parts of my video until I was satisfied with the end result. I also added the "vivid" fi

(One of my favorite disney movies of all time >3 )   Hey scholars, welcome back to my blog! Today was a little boring. Just a regular day at school, plus a french quiz which I definitely aced (I hope). The weather made me really sleepy though. On a side note, I'm almost done making edits to my commercial. I know I've been saying that for the past two blogs, but I mean it this time. I continued using capcut to make a couple more edits to my commercial. One extra feature I added was a magazine cover. I know its a bit extra but I did say I wanted to bring it over the top. To achieve this, I used a pre-made template from capcut. I took a photoshop training class my sophomore year of highschool. We used adobe photoshop to learn the basics of photoshopping, etc. It was a really cool class, I learned a lot of different techniques that'll be useful in the future. One thing though, that I kind of regret was not getting my certification due to my slacking. Adobe photoshop is reall

Production Blog.....I'm stressed :(

(AI generated photo of me, the one mentioned in the blog)   Hey scholars....welcome back to my blog. The stress of senior year is really starting to kick in. I'm trying to get prepared for college application season. I haven't even started my essays yet...I know crazy. There's so much that needs to get done, especially with this commercial. To edit my commercial, I am attempting to use capcut. It's a video editor app and its currently trending on TikTok. It mainly uses AI to help generate and edit different videos and photos. I wanna use CapCut to include subtitles in my commercial as well as many other cool details. I feel like this adds a realistic feel, like a televised commercial. I really want my commercial to stand out. With capcut, you could add cool effects like personalized generators. They also have pre-made templates that I plan on using since they correlate with the theme of the commercial. To edit my commercial specifically, I am going to use the script to

Production Blog (The "set up").....

Image
Hey scholars, welcome back to my blog!!! In my last blog I introduced my upcoming “YOU” project. It’s a commercial that represents me, my interests, and portrays some of my personality. To produce this project, I want to structure it so it can seem professionally made. I also want to keep it interesting/entertaining. For the set up, my first video will be an outdoor background (I haven't figured out where yet). This is to add a kind of natural scenery to the commercial. The video I plan on including, will be of me giving a brief summary about the myself. I like to call it my fake Ted Talk :) The angle that I plan on using is a long shot, displaying me as I give my small speech. I want to use this angle because it centers the viewers attention. There will be multiple jump shots, showing photos of myself over the years and a couple memes. I was thinking about doing a voice-over for one portion of the commercial but I'm not sure where to place that section yet. For now, I want t

Research/Planning

heyy scholars! welcome back to my blog. Today I'm going to be planning how I want to structure my "YOU" commercial. Since I love marching band music, I was thinking about adding a song from one of my favorite bands. Some of my favorite marching bands are FAMU's marching 100 and ASU's Sonic Boom. I love FAMU's version of "espn", but ASU plays "velvet rope" by Janet Jackson really good too. I would say those are a couple of my favorites. I was thinking about using band music in the background of my songs because it's something I really enjoy. Those are just a few of the great marching band songs out there. The upbeats of the music, represents me when I'm full of energy and optimistic. I wanted to incorporate a video of me dancing as well, since dancing is one of my hobbies. It adds to the "you" aspect of the commercial by showing one of my interest. For the commercial in general since its all about me, I was thinking of in

Hey guys, welcome to my first blog of senior year! My name is Adriana, I’m 17 years old. I attend Fort Lauderdale High and I’m working towards graduating with my Cambridge diploma. I love achieving my academic goals. I set these goals up so I can use my full effort and potential. A little about me… I like cooking/baking, reading, and majorette dancing. I love band music (hence why I love majorette genre of dancing). That along with hip-pop, R&B, and soul music I enjoy listening to these genres of music. I also like sleeping and making money :) I’d say my fantasy career job would be getting paid to sleep, like literally. I’m a May baby, my birthday is on the 15th, which I share with my grandfather. My friends and associates would most likely describe me as an optimistic social butterfly. It makes me happy when I can help others the best way I possibly can. Because I enjoy helping others, I decided to join a mentorship program where I get the opportunity to mentor freshman's and
