Production Blog (Almost done….not really)




Hey scholars, welcome back to the blog….again. Today I got a good amount of work done. My music video is coming together a little bit. Most of my filming will be done at homecoming. The venue/ atmosphere goes well with my last couple of scenes. It gives party vibes,  Plus, it works for me and my friends, so we can film there. The part where I’m getting my makeup done, I need to make sure I’m able to film that. I have to confirmation with the MUA first. I have all my props together that I want in the video. Now for the most important part….editing. I did some research for different editing platforms. I want to try and use iMovie, since I have an iPhone. I can use it to edit the video, with CapCut. For iMovie, I can use it to cut scenes that I don’t want. I can also use it to add background music which is a plus. Reflecting back to my commercial I had a really har time with that so this is a nice benefit. With CapCut it’s really good with adding different effects. I want to use this platform to add different transitions to my music video. Another pro with iMovie is it let’s you make multiple takes and put them together, etc. Next week I plan on filming because it’ll be more convenient for my filter and I.   Welcome back scholars to your favorite blog!!! Last time we began taking in peer reviews to make our final task a full success. Being able to get reviews from our peers really helps us look into any things we may have missed. Some things that needed to be fixed were the transitions. Many of our peers stated, they enjoyed our sequence but the transitions were a bit fast. "I feel like you can make your transitions a bit slower, so the viewers can take in the full screen set" I agreed, making the transitions too fast may cause viewers confusion or not enough time to assess the scene. There were a couple of critiques on our acting skills. I was shocked when a peer stated our acting was "pretty good". In personally thought otherwise, but it felt really good to know. Planning Blog: Locations, Participants, Health, Schedule

Hey lovelies!! Welcome back to my blog! Today I'm going to go even further into the planning of how my group's opening scene came to be. Although planning this was so fun, there was also a lot of layers to it. I'll start by talking about our location. When first discussing about our location, we knew that it would have to be somewhere of a location region as well as a mall where people visit frequently. After conversing about it  we decided on Sawgrass Mall. We were satisfied with that at first the realized that we had an issue.  What we wanted to do would require us to be in a smaller and more confined room. After realizing that, we decided to back on the scratch board and make some compromises. With only a few minutes of deliberating, we decided to use a groupmates' house. With our location confirmed everything seems set.  So far we have all of our scenes set, assigned roles, and our location. Some of the things we're still looking into are the props we will need....

Title Research: Dead Silence

  Hey scholars, welcome back.  The film that I chose to analyze is Dead Silence because it is a great representation of how a horror film should be.  The website I used wa s   Art of the Title What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?   The  titles  that are displayed  first  is the title of the film. It is in red  and has  a spooky looking font to add to the way that the movie is horror. The next titles  are from who made the film and a brief description of what to expect. Then it goes into naming everyone who helped contribute  to  making the film happen like the actors and what not.    What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?
