Genre Decision: And the Winner IS.......

Image
Hey lovelies! Thank you for joining me on my journey to deciding which genre I will be going with. After going through and researching genres such as sci-fi, horror and romance my group and I were able to pinpoint which genre fit what my group and I are looking for. Are you ready for the final reveal?!! Ok, I'll let you know in a bit but first let me tell you some of our honorable mentions. The first once was romance, which is honestly such a cute genre but it's conventions wasn't what we were looking for. Second and last is sci-fi which was a really interesting genre to research but its CLAMPS didn't sit right with us. That leaves us with one last genre making it our winner which is.... horror! Movie Conventions Research: The Nun II

Image
HEY GUYS, IM BACKKKKK!!!! The movie we’re choosing is the nun part ll. This movie came out in 2023 and is in the genre horror. It all starts when a priest is murdered in the chapel but this isn't the first time and after that it goes downhill. The main characters go on a hunt to figure out what is happening to spark up all these murders while fighting for their lives also. The nun has so many aspects on how to shoot a horror movie properly. It gives the jump-scares while also keeping us on the edge of our seats which is what we hope to achieve with our movie. In the nun ll there is a scene where it is a medium shot that pans from the main character to the nun which is a jump-scare. At first you don't know what is happening but then its shown which leaves you on edge. Having these types of scenes in our movie keeps the audience engaged. What was liked about the movie is that even though it was horror, it gave us a storyline to follow. It wasn’t all jump scares and anxiety in...

Heyy scholars, here's a part 2 of my podcast, hope you enjoy listening!! https://youtu.be/t0W1Spc-AvY Podcast Script: Hello again and welcome to the second part of my podcast I'm just a little background in the first episode we talked about how my project uses or challenges conventions the conventions we were talking about with the horror genre because that is the genre my group and I decided to choose to film with the second part was how does it represent social groups or issues now our film per se I wouldn't say represents any social groups but social issues I guess you could say it kind of represents trust basically I am in the film  a girl is hanging out with her friends and in the end she ends up dead who kills her? I don't know but it seems to be that one of the two friends half are the main suspects of course so it kinda lead to me saying you know you don't know who you could trust basically just adding that suspense from the horror genre that kind of plays i...
