One last time….Intro Blog

 


Heyy scholars, welcome back to my blog!!! It’s been a while since I’ve updated on here. I have a really good time with the projects thus far. Once you see an intro, you know it’s time for a new one!! As always I’m super excited to be working on this new project. It really helps me broaden my media skills and helps me learn new techniques. For this next project…I will be doing an opening sequence to a movie. I love binge watching movies. That’s like a perfect day for me. So being able to create the beginning for one is amazing. I’ve been brainstorming a couple of ideas for why I want it to be about. Based on my music video I would like to add some similar conventions in this project as well. I think it’s really cool getting to experience this aspect of media. For this project I want to improve on my recording skills and editing. I’m the last project it was really hard for me to do these things, especially since I worked alone. I know this project will turn out great because I’ve decided to collaborate with some of my peers. I love that this class really brings out our creativity and passion. I know this final project will be very special and exciting. Stay tuned scholars. Until next time!!

  Welcome back scholars to your favorite blog!!! Last time we began taking in peer reviews to make our final task a full success. Being able to get reviews from our peers really helps us look into any things we may have missed. Some things that needed to be fixed were the transitions. Many of our peers stated, they enjoyed our sequence but the transitions were a bit fast. "I feel like you can make your transitions a bit slower, so the viewers can take in the full screen set" I agreed, making the transitions too fast may cause viewers confusion or not enough time to assess the scene. There were a couple of critiques on our acting skills. I was shocked when a peer stated our acting was "pretty good". In personally thought otherwise, but it felt really good to know. Another critique we received was our opening shot. In the beginning it was at a certain angle, making it hard to see the content. With some help, we were able to fix this. Planning Blog: Locations, Participants, Health, Schedule

Hey lovelies!! Welcome back to my blog! Today I'm going to go even further into the planning of how my group's opening scene came to be. Although planning this was so fun, there was also a lot of layers to it. I'll start by talking about our location. When first discussing about our location, we knew that it would have to be somewhere of a location region as well as a mall where people visit frequently. After conversing about it  we decided on Sawgrass Mall. We were satisfied with that at first the realized that we had an issue.  What we wanted to do would require us to be in a smaller and more confined room. After realizing that, we decided to back on the scratch board and make some compromises. With only a few minutes of deliberating, we decided to use a groupmates' house. With our location confirmed everything seems set.  So far we have all of our scenes set, assigned roles, and our location. Some of the things we're still looking into are the props we will need....

Title Research: Dead Silence

  Hey scholars, welcome back.  The film that I chose to analyze is Dead Silence because it is a great representation of how a horror film should be.  The website I used wa s   Art of the Title What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?   The  titles  that are displayed  first  is the title of the film. It is in red  and has  a spooky looking font to add to the way that the movie is horror. The next titles  are from who made the film and a brief description of what to expect. Then it goes into naming everyone who helped contribute  to  making the film happen like the actors and what not.    What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The images that are prioritized look like scenes from out the movie. They are images that give a feel f or what will happen in the movie without fully telling what exactly is going on.
